Where is Inn Shop?
Inn Shop Ski & Board Rentals is at 1920 Olympic Valley Rd, Olympic Valley, CA 96146, inside the PlumpJack Inn and directly across from the Aerial Tram at Palisades Tahoe. It's fewer than 100 steps from our door to the tram. Our mailing address is PO Box 2621, Olympic Valley, CA 96146. This is for mail only.
Where do I park?
Park in the main Palisades Tahoe ski-area lot and walk over. The shop is right at the base, across from the Aerial Tram building.
What are your hours?
We're open 8 AM to 5 PM every day the mountain is open, including holidays. Our season runs from Thanksgiving week until Palisades Tahoe closes for the year. If the mountain is open, we're open.
Which rental should I choose?
Beginner or intermediate skier: our Performance ski package.
Expert skier or rider: our Demo skis or Demo snowboards. We carry a wide selection of Jones snowboards.
Kids: most kids do best in our Sport package. Bigger kids may fit better in Performance skis.

Do you rent to kids? How do kids' rates work?
Yes. Kids 12 and under get our junior rate; ages 13 and up pay the adult rate. We have kids ski boots down to child size 6-7 and skis down to 70 cm, plus small snowboard boots and boards.
Are helmets included?
Helmets, ski pants and jackets are available for an additional charge.
What discounts do you offer?
10% off when you reserve online, or show us our website on your phone at pickup.
20% off for guests of PlumpJack Inn, Palisades Tahoe Lodge, Red Wolf Lodge or Olympic Village Inn.
50% off for active duty military.
Can I pick up my rentals the night before?
Yes, for free. Pick up any time after 3 PM the day before your rental starts, so you can head straight to the lifts in the morning.
When are rentals due back?
By 5 PM on your last day. Running late? Drop your gear at the PlumpJack Inn front desk, or bring it to the shop before 9 AM the next morning. After that, an extra day is charged.
Do I need to reserve ahead? Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome. Reservations are recommended and save you 10% online.
What if I need to cancel?
No problem. We don't charge until you pick up your equipment, so there's no cancellation fee.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you return equipment early, or if the mountain closes due to weather.
Can I swap equipment during my rental?
Yes. Want a different size or fit? Walk over from the tram and we'll swap your boots, skis or board on the spot. Swap demo skis as often as you like, or switch between skis and a snowboard.
Why rent from Inn Shop instead of a delivery service?
We're family owned and have been at the base of Palisades Tahoe for over 50 years, fewer than 100 steps from the Aerial Tram. Pick up your equipment at the shop and walk to the lifts.
